Job Description

Our client is an established and dynamic IT solutions business dealing with both corporate and SME clients who due to continued expansion are now seeking to appoint a Sales Executive to be based from their Colchester office.

With a turnover of £3.5M and employing 30 staff, our client has a 15 year track record in delivering both network infrastructure and software/web development solutions to customers with typically 10-150 employees, although the customers include organisations as large as the BBC.

The role of IT Sales Executive / Account Manager is a mixture of account management and new business development, with approximately 33% of your OTE target currently generated by existing customer accounts on annual support contracts. Your objective will be to develop both these existing accounts and also win new customers via networking and lead generation. These new customers will also be your responsibility, so the account management aspect of the role will grow over time as customer solutions will typically include an ongoing annualised support element which will always be attributable to your sales figures.

Whilst a proven track record in IT Sales is desirable, more important will be a strong technical knowledge combined with excellent customer facing skills, as you will typically be dealing at all customer managerial levels and with both IT Managers and non IT Managers. Additionally, the ability to generate quotations which are technically accurate and deliverable combined with a natural ability to take ownership of problems to ensure they are quickly resolved will be key, as the company has built its reputation on being a trusted long term IT solution partner for their clients.

The company has an excellent remuneration package including £25k-£30k basic, £55k OTE, car allowance, mobile, laptop, health and life cover, 25 days holiday and a company matched pension scheme up to 8% of salary.
