Job Description

Graduate Recruitment Consultant (summer 2017 intake)

Based in Liverpool.

Great starting salary + commission + bonus + profit share with the potential to earn a realistic £30K in the first year increasing to £50K+ once you have completed your training. You will be provided with the essential kit to do your work (iPhone 6s, laptop, expense account). IPads, car allowances/company cars, and Rolex/Tag/Omega watches awarded to our high achievers.

Who are we?

Our company was set up in a small flat in the last millennium when, but since then it has progressed to become one of the finest recruitment agencies in the North West & London.
Jamie is the head honcho, as such his two most important functions are to make sure the fresh fruit is delivered to the office on a Monday mornings and that the fridge is filled with beer/prosecco for our Friday afternoon "sales meeting".

We have Natalie from Dundee who runs our London office, and Neil from London who helps look after our Liverpool HQ. Stephen from Ireland "the poster boy of recruitment" is one of our senior consultants, he likes to tell a story about how he joined Bluefire with holes in his shoes and now he has holes in his pockets as he jets Tanya off to New York and Dubai on a quick stop city breaks.

We have another Neil who is our technical director, he used to drive fast cars and go to fancy restaurants, but recently Baby Ace has arrived and put a stop to all of that. Now drives a people carrier!! (He said I had to mention it's an Audi Q5S).

We have a whole team of great consultants, recruiters and graduates both in Liverpool and London and I'm proud to call them all my close friends.
We work with a lot of pretty impressive clients (FTSE 100), with the list growing by the day. They think we add real value which is why a lot of them choose to work with us exclusively.

As a company we are committed to personal and professional continuous improvement through training and sharing our experiences. We win and learn together as a team.
Our plan is to hire the brightest, most passionate, driven graduates and to conquer the world, or at least some more of the Technical recruitment market.
Bear in mind getting a job at Bluefire is hard, there are lots of tests, homework and interview stages all designed to show you what we are about and to help us see what you can offer. We really are after the best candidates!!

What we are looking for!

We really invest in our new grads, we spend time understanding what tools they need to make them the best they can be, everyone is different and we don't use a one size fits all approach. We are aware you haven't been involved in recruitment before so are going to make mistakes and we will support you through this process.
We are particular about who we hire, we don't like to waste our time investing in candidates who just don't have what it takes.

We are looking for the kids who had paper rounds, washed cars, sold sweets at school, worked in the local shop, picked fruit on farms and then grew up and did a degree. Please don't apply if you've had it easy, we will not be the right agency for you. Recruitment is hard! You will need to be tough and resilient to succeed.

You will be professional, understand the importance and subtleties of communication and be well organised (you won't cope with this job otherwise). If you have a sales background that's great, if you want to work in a sales role let's see what you made off. Technical degrees are really warmly received we are a technical agency, but you must have the personality and people skills to go alongside it.

You must be a person with a really positive attitude. We hate neg heads and mood hoovers. We are all can do people, we are experts in taking down hurdles down not put them up.
You will enjoy a challenge and be at your best when things get difficult. We like to raise money for charity. We like to run half marathons, enter muddy obstacle courses and eat and drink out. You don't need to be fit or able to take your drink but you will need to be game to get involved. You will have a high level of humour and enthusiasm who wants to live a better life, funded by hard work and commitment.

Why should you apply for this position?

This is why some of the team joined and stayed.

Greg (The Finder), Newest Graduate.

I felt it was my best chance to earn a lot of money. You could feel the culture of the place when you came to the interview and the training and development is great. Since working here everything they said has turned out to be true, including the running through the mud bit!!

Alex, Senior Consultant, recruitment star by day, dragon boat enthusiast by night.

"I heard good things about recruitment. I heard it was fast paced, work hard, party hard atmosphere. I wanted to have something I could throw myself into and Bluefire gave me that. I've managed to buy my house and I earn good money. What I like most though is that I talk daily with some of the biggest companies in the UK, and they listen to me for advice."

Tim (Hollywood) recruiter.

I served in the Navy early in my career and Bluefire has the same comradery and humour. The guys gave me the opportunity to show what I could do and also changed my name to Hollywood, which I now get everyone to call me. They only ask for only two things, I put my best foot forward, and that I stop with the stories about the boats I've served on. Joking aside really glad I came on board.

What to do next?

Submit your CV with a cover letter which outlines:
1.Three interesting things about you?
2.If you had one wish what would it be?
3.Why should we call you about this role?
